“Faces 2002” is the main feature in this issue. This annual extravaganza features 156 antique and artist Bear faces. Have fun guessing who made what in this popular annual challenge.

If you are interested in Steiff animals from the 1950s and 1960s, enjoy the variety of Steiff animals created during these creative and productive years in the company’s history in the article Theodore B. Bear says, “Take a Walk on the Wild Side of the 50s and 60s.”

Artists profiled in this issue include: Theda Floyd and Celia Baham. These California artists are creativity personified.

The Kansas City Toy and Miniature Museum is profiled in this issue. This is a “must do” for anyone visiting the Kansas City area. Also join us for the “March of the Teddy Bears.” This follow-up to the popular Cow fiberglass statues placed throughout the city, was a fun adventure for arctophiles to find each and everyone.

Sierra Meadows was our store profile in this issue. They carry everything a Teddy Bear artist needs and more within the walls of their store in Walnut Creek, California.

Book Reviews include: Costumed Teddy Bears, 14 Patterns for Bears in Body Suits, by Celia Baham, Teddy’s World, by Joost Elffers and Mirja de Vries, and The Teddy Bear Companion, The Centennial Edition - Volume III, by Dee Hockenberry.

“Kimbearlee’s Kreative Musings,” continues with part III of Teddy Bear costuming tips.

“Alvin” is the pattern in this issue. Created by California artist, Armella Dana, this whimsical little fellow will delight all who make him.

Alistair is enjoying the summer, even though, John and Denis leave him home responsible for all the work, while they travel to all the fun Teddy Bear shows around the country.
